Student parking information

2023-24 parking permits

Parking at Augustana is assigned to students based on their housing assignment for the academic year. Students may be assigned the next closest available parking lot/area when necessary because the college does not oversell parking lots.

We strongly encourage all students to read over the campus Parking Rules and Regulations. This will help students familiarize themselves with parking policies such as visitor/guest and temporary parking, parking ticket and booting policies, information on permit refunds, the general campus parking rules, etc.

Returning students

  • Returning students are allowed to start purchasing parking permits for the next 2023-2024 academic year starting on May 15t and lasting all of June and July.
  • Parking packets will be mailed via USPS on June 6, 2023, to any student that did not purchase a parking permit prior to June 1. Please allow 3-14 business days to receive your packet from the mailing date listed.
  • If you purchased a permit before leaving campus for the summer, you will not receive a packet in the mail. Look in your Augustana email for your purchase receipt and parking permit pickup information.
  • After Aug. 15 parking is first come, first served to ALL students. Students may be assigned the next closest available parking lot/area when necessary because the college does not oversell parking lots.

First-year students

  • Mid-July parking permit packets will be mailed out via USPS. You must have your housing assignment before you can be assigned parking. Once you have your housing assignment, you will mail in the vehicle registration form and payment.
  • Aug. 15, 2023, first-year students who mailed in their vehicle registration form and payment by the lottery deadline will be assigned parking and receive a receipt with pickup instructions in their Augustana email. If there are more requests than spaces remaining, a lottery is held for first-year students. Students may be assigned the next closest available lot if necessary.
  • Parking permits are not mailed to students. All students pick up their permits during Welcome Week/move-in weekend. At permit pickup, you will also receive a map showing where you can park on campus.
