The Augustana Convenient Care Powered by MercyOne Genesis clinic is open on campus in Baldur House, 3410 9 1/2 Ave., behind the Gerber Center and next to Casa Latina.

Masks must be worn inside the clinic.

Augustana students and employees can schedule a time to go to the clinic to see an advanced practice provider. Appointments can be made in advance online so there is no waiting time at the clinic. The clinic also can be reached at 309-281-2300.

Hours

10 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays
9 a.m.-1 p.m.   Saturdays

Appointments are free, however, costs for medication or additional testing will be handled through the student or employee's insurance.

Patients will have access to their medical records, lab results, appointments, prescription information and ability to message the provider through the MyGenesis patient portal

Services and billing

Here is a list of clinic services and payment responsibilities. Please note this is not an all-inclusive list. Patients should bring a copy of their insurance cards.

Clinic services

• Testing for COVID-19 and strep
• Flu vaccinations
• Treatment of colds and flu, pneumonia, fever, sore throat, earache, conjunctivitis (pink eye), sinus and urinary tract infections
• Treatment of  rashes and insect bites, sprains, strains and minor fractures
• Maintenance drug prescriptions

The clinic does not administer allergy shots, and recommends that students establish care with a local allergist.

Covered by Augustana:

• Office visits
• Flu vaccination

Billed to insurance:

• Immunizations
• Lab tests
• COVID testing and vaccinations
• Prescriptions
• X-rays and radiology

Students and employees also may participate in virtual telehealth visits through the clinic by downloading the MercyOne Genesis Convenient CareNow app. Those visits will be billed to the student's or employee's private insurance.
