The Brunner Theatre Center houses the Main Stage and Heidi A. Honkamp Myhre Black Box, as well as the Augustana College Bookstore, Snack Bar, computer labs and offices.
The center also houses the scene shop, costume shop, dressing rooms, a conference room and theatre library. The $4.2 million project was designed to expand community outreach, offer more opportunities (onstage and off) for students, and expand summer theatre opportunities. The center opened in the fall of 2016.
Finished in spring 2019, the new Anderson Pavilion provides an ideal space for intimate performances on one of America's most beautiful campuses. The pavilion is built into the hillside on the south side of the Brunner Theatre Center, and offers many ways to showcase work in theatre, music and other performance arts.

In addition to college theatre, the Brunner Theatre Center is home to Mississippi Bend Players productions. Spearheaded by Broadway veteran and Augustana alumnus Philip Wm. McKinley ’73, the Players' mission is to provide excellence in Quad-Cities theatre by producing both commercially proven works and original musical and dramatic material.
