Student parking information, first-year and transfer students
2025-26 parking permits
First-year and transfer students will have the opportunity to purchase parking permits once they receive their housing assignments in mid-July.
The first-year and transfer parking lottery will be at 8:00 a.m. on Aug. 13, 2025. Any permit purchases received by USPS mail, in person, or online after 11:59 p.m. on August 12, will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis for all students.

Lottery information
On Aug. 13, 2025, Facilities Services will tally up all the permit purchase requests from first-year students based on their housing assignments, and then tally up how many spaces still remain in each residence area parking lot.
Example: Andreen Hall has 37 parking spaces remaining on Aug. 13, and there were 22 requests from first-year students for parking at Andreen Hall. No lottery would be necessary because this is enough parking to accommodate all requests.
Prices for residential and commuter permits
- Full year: $230 (includes fall, J-term, and spring)
- Semester only: $130 (14 weeks)
- Partial semester: $80 (7 weeks)
- J-term only: $45 (if full year is not purchased)
Purchasing and payment options
Purchasing options will be available once first year student housing assignments have been sent out in mid-July.
