Reminisce and re-connect at the 50th anniversary of Augustana’s Black Student Union during Homecoming weekend, Oct. 5-7, 2018. Please register for the following events; there is no charge for most of these events, but knowing how many people to expect will help us plan!
Friday, Oct. 5
6 p.m. Campus Tour for Black Student Union Alumni, meet on the patio of the Brunner Theatre Center; tour will end at the Black Culture House
7-10 p.m. Black Student Union 50th Anniversary BBQ, Black Culture House, 9th Avenue and 34th Street
Augustana alumni and friends are invited to stop by the Black Culture House for a BBQ in celebration of the group's 50th anniversary. Lots of good food and fun.
Saturday, Oct. 6
10:30 a.m.-noon Bubble Mimosas, Brunch and Bravo – Alumni Awards, The Gerber Center, Brew Patio and Gävle Room
Join us for Augustana’s new bubble mimosas on the Brew patio before honoring our 2018 Alumni Award recipients, including the Black Student Union, which will receive the inaugural Diversity & Inclusion Award.
6 p.m. Panel Discussion with Black Student Union Alumni, Wallenberg Hall (inside Denkmann Memorial Building)
7 p.m. Black Student Union 50th Anniversary Celebration, Wallenberg Hall (inside Denkmann Memorial Building)
