Augustana team scores in top 10% worldwide in business simulation

In her January term business class, Dr. Amanda Baugous assigned a virtual competitive simulation in which teams of students “run” their own business. One team scored in the top 10% in the world.

Augustana to digitize Hauberg materials

John Henry Hauberg was a researcher and photographer active in the Quad-City area in the early 20th century. He compiled some 150 unpublished volumes of Illinois history over the course of his life. This project will target 1,500 of the most historically significant glass plate images related to Native American culture and landscapes, Quad-Cities scenes, the Rock Island Arsenal, Black Hawk State Historic Site, and the Denkmann-Hauberg West End Settlement in Rock Island.

"This project was partly inspired by the movie Inside Out and taking that concept with a darker more comedical twist in the form of retail/business. Each emotion that you walk through will have a different form of deliverance and have an everyday life style to it almost. Be confused because emotions are very complex even if you think you have them down - you don't."
