Kindschuh left legacy of projects at Augustana
John Kindschuh of Rock Island, 92, who served Augustana for 36 years and was among the last senior college administrators to have been ordained in the Augustana Lutheran Synod, died Feb. 15.

Geifman prize winners announced
The Center for the Study of Judaism and Jewish Culture has chosen recipients of the yearly Geifman "Responses to the Holocaust" Prize. They will receive their awards at 7 p.m. April 20 in Wallenberg Hall. Guest speaker will be Holocaust survivor Irving Roth.
Senior's thesis on state park accepted for presentation
History major Bonnie Thornton's senior history honors thesis has been accepted for presentation at the National Conference of Phi Alpha Theta national history honors society in January. Selection is competitive. Her paper is entitled "The Politics of Collective Morality: Orchestrating the Natural Conservation and Historic Preservation of Blackhawk Watch Tower Park, 1917-1927."
