Swedish American Old Settlers’ Association of Knox County (Ill.) records, 1894-1943

The Swedish American Old Settlers’ Association of Knox County (Ill.) was a social group for the early Swedish settlers of the Knox County area in existence from 1894 until about 1941. The collection contains membership lists, the group’s constitution, annual meeting minutes, necrology rolls (death lists), several obituaries, newspaper clippings, and one photograph from 1935.

Upsala College (East Orange, N.J.) records, 1893-1995

Upsala College was a Swedish-American college, founded by the Augustana Synod, in East Orange, New Jersey form 1893 to 1995. The records largely consist of papers of the presidents and other administrative offices. Also contains some faculty publications, records of student organizations, photographs and scrapbooks depicting campus life and some audiovisual materials.  

College recognized for efforts to support survivors, prevent assault

Augustana College has received the Moxie Award from the Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault for efforts to improve the response to victims of sexual assault and develop prevention programming.
