Mabel Anderson and Carl Lorimer correspondence, 1907-1992
The papers include courtship correspondence between Carl Lorimer, an Augustana Seminary student in Rock Island, Illinois, and Mabel Anderson, a schoolteacher in Ottumwa, Iowa, from 1907 through 1911. The correspondence sheds light on what life was like as a Seminary student and on Mabel’s career as young teacher. The correspondence leads up their engagement in 1910. Collection also includes a pastoral call, cash account book, and family genealogy information.
