$10,000 Business Plan Competition open for 2026
The ninth annual Augustana College Business Plan Competition invites teams or individual students to present their ideas to a panel of business professionals.
International business is one of five concentrations in the business administration major. Business administration majors may choose more than one concentration, and may also combine with other majors.
→ See Business Administration.
Augustana also offers a major in international business; a student may not major in both international business and business administration with a concentration in international business.

Lupita Toscano '21 is an example of how business and accounting students benefit from a liberal arts education and use their experience in successful careers.
Even before graduating, Lupita had two full-time job offers. She accepted the offer to intern as a technical assistant for the Governmental Accounting Standards Board for a year. Now she is a senior associate for Accounting Advisory Services, KPMG US in Washington, D.C.

Making connections is the beating heart of many careers: connecting one idea with another idea, a community with a service or solution, a vision with an audience. A liberal arts education builds this ability.
More than half of Augustana's accounting majors receive financial assistance from merit scholarships from the department’s endowment and fundraising activities. The annual "sold-out" Accounting Golf Outing provides for one-third of these scholarship dollars.
