International Business (concentration)

International business is one of five concentrations in the business administration major.  Business administration majors may choose more than one concentration, and may also combine with other majors.

Augustana also offers a major in international business; a student may not major in both international business and business administration with a concentration in international business.

Graduate spotlight

Lupita Toscano '21 is an example of how business and accounting students benefit from a liberal arts education and use their experience in successful careers. 

Even before graduating, Lupita had two full-time job offers. She accepted the offer to intern as a technical assistant for the Governmental Accounting Standards Board for a year. Now she is a senior associate for Accounting Advisory Services, KPMG US in Washington, D.C.

Symposium Day brings big ideas to campus

Augustana's fall Symposium Day 2024 invited big ideas from any and all disciplines, welcoming presentations from students, faculty and staff, and distinguished guests — including keynote speaker Dr. Roosevelt Montás from Columbia University and Dr. Chris Hedlin '11 from the University of Notre Dame.

Augustana awarded $105,000 to launch business-liberal arts scholars program

Augustana will enroll students in its inaugural Business Education Steeped in the Liberal Arts (BESLA) cohort in fall 2025. Business administration majors enrolling in BESLA will pursue a second major or minor in the traditional liberal arts.

Academic All-Americans

Five more Vikings named Academic All-Americans — 183 total

Five student-athletes — from hometowns in Illinois, Hawai'i, Texas and Tennessee — are the college's most recent Academic All-Americans. Now with 183 Academic All-Americans, Augustana ranks 14th among the NCAA’s 1,100 schools in DI, DII and DIII across the country.
