College prepares to celebrate successful campaign
Friends of Augustana College will gather virtually on New Year's Eve to celebrate the conclusion of a successful fund-raising campaign.
QC College Career Fair
The second virtual QC College Career Fair will run from noon-3 p.m.
Student registration is open and will continue throughout the fair.
Students will be able to meet with employers and hiring organizations from noon-3 p.m. at their virtual booths through one-on-one sessions and interviews and 30-minute group meetings.
Local and regional employers offering internships, apprenticeships, and part-time, and full-time positions in business, government, health care, manufacturing, non-profits, science, and social services will be represented.
The virtual event will include students and recent graduates of Augustana College, Black Hawk College, St. Ambrose University, Eastern Iowa Community Colleges, and Western Illinois University- Quad Cities. Combined, the five local institutions enroll more than 16,000 students in certificate, associate, bachelor, and master degree programs.
The inaugural virtual QC College Career Fair was held in September, replacing the long-running ProFair held twice a year by Augustana and St. Ambrose.
CareerFest
The College Career Consortium of Illinois invites students to its 32nd annual CareerFest from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Moraine Valley Community College, Palos Hills, Ill.
The event will include students and recent graduates of 18 private colleges in Illinois, including Augustana. Registration is through Handshake.
Bus transportation will be provided to Augustana students. The bus will leave the Gerber Center at 7:30 a.m. Bus reservations must be in by Feb. 10.
CareerFest will include local and regional employers offering internships and full-time positions in business, government, healthcare, manufacturing, non-profits, science and social services.
