Olivia (Hugh) Melton '10 had intended to study art at Augustana, but after discovering the beauty in numbers, she changed her focus. Recently, Melton opened her own business, Olivia Melton, CPA.

Augustana alumna Brenda Czajka '75 Barnes, who became one of the highest-ranking women in corporate America, died Tuesday after suffering a stroke. She was 63.

Alumni Association Awards

Meersman '88 heads Pine Ridge Hospital

Pine Ridge (S.D.) Hospital, a 45-bed facility in the Indian Health Service Great Plains Area, has welcomed Mark Meersman as CEO. He graduated from Augustana in 1988 with a degree in theatre arts, and has an MBA from City University of Seattle.
