Karl Gösta Gilstring was a priest, teacher a collector of folk memories. For over 50 years he collected oral stories of people living in Östergötland and northern Småland. The collection consists of newspaper clippings related to Gilstring's 1971 cultural award which he received for his collection of immigrant tales, largely from Canada and the United States.
