Visiting the Figge

Students in Adam Kaul's Anthropology of Art class got a personal tour of the Haitian art collections at the Figge Art Museum in Davenport. Students learned about the history of slavery and colonization, post-colonial struggles, the Vodou religion and how all of those themes get expressed in vibrant Haitian artistic traditions.
