The purpose of Politics Club is to provide an outlet for the Augustana community to become more involved in politics and public policy that affect our lives every day. Politics Club aims to be a non-partisan organization where any student will feel comfortable.
Taste of Latin America
The Office of International Student and Scholar Services and LatinX Unidos hosts this event commemorating the Hispanic Heritage month by tasting and learning about Latin American cuisine.
Mr. Augustana
Mr. Augustana is a mock male beauty pageant. This show is designed to be a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society put on by the Chi Alpha Pi sorority. The contestants compete in categories of formal wear, swimwear, talent, and question and answer.

Swenson Center receives National Endowment for the Humanities grant
The $50,000 grant was awarded by the National Endowment for the Humanities in the “Sustaining Cultural Heritage Collections” category.
Oct. 6 Udden Geology Club presentation open to campus community
Dr. Mark Lundine '18, with the University of Delaware's Coastal Sediments, Hydrodynamics, and Engineering Laboratory, will be on campus Friday, Oct. 6, 4:30 p.m., to give a Homecoming presentation to Udden Geology Club.

Augustana welcomes second largest group of new students
Augustana's fall enrollment includes 723 first-year students and 67 transfer students. This represents a 23% increase in new student enrollment over the last year.
American Speech-Language-Hearing Association public meeting
The Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association will conduct an initial accreditation site visit at Augustana College on Nov. 6-7.
Volley for a Cause
Zeta Phi Kappa is hosting a volleyball tournament to raise money for QC Paws. The cost to enter is $5/person and teams have 6-10 people. There is a $60 cash prize for the winning team. Players can pay cash or Venmo @ZetaPhiKappa in advance or on the day of the event.
