Augustana to honor graduates from 26 states and 23 countries

Augustana College will celebrate the commencement of 555 Vikings representing 68 majors, 26 states and 23 countries at the college’s 165th annual convocation, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, at the Vibrant Arena at the Mark. The commencement address will be given by The Honorable Eric Sorensen, U.S. Representative, Illinois District 17.

“In every major, the students graduating today are ready for their next great adventures,” President Andrea Talentino said. “We joyfully celebrate what they have brought to our lives on campus, and what they will now bring to the world.”

In addition to the undergraduate commencement celebration, Augustana will recognize 24 students who have earned the Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. The hooding ceremony will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 23, in Wallenberg Hall in the Denkmann Memorial Building.

These students comprise the fourth graduating cohort from the college’s accredited 24-month master's program in speech-language pathology.
