Winning runs deep at Augustana College, where students can excel in both academics and athletics. This is one reason why student-athletes from all over the world choose Augustana, where they grow as an athlete, a student, a leader and a world citizen.
In 2024-25, nearly 50 student-athletes from 24 countries joined one of the Augustana Vikings 28 NCAA varsity sports teams—plus varsity- level esports. They came from Australia, Austria, Barbados, Belgium, Brazil, Costa Rica, Ecuador, France, Ghana, Iran, Italy, Kenya, Mongolia, Morocco, Mexico, Nepal, Pakistan, Panama, Portugal, Vietnam, Singapore, Spain, South Africa and Sweden—the home country of our Augustana College founders.

Nelly Cheboi ’16

Nelly Cheboi ’16, from Mogotio, Kenya, ran cross country at Augustana and majored in computer science and mathematics. Now she is CEO of Techlit Africa, for which she was nominated CNN Hero of the Year in 2022.
To this day, I know it was the best decision I have ever made…. Aside from academics, the coaches are phenomenal, and this is an exceptionally beautiful campus.
There is a place for everyone here at Augustana — it may be a sport, Greek life, club or so on. These venues will help you grow and learn more about yourself than you ever imagined.
