This collection contains the personal papers of John and Lilly Werner, both Swedish immigrants, who helped establish and financially support the Cultural Heritage Foundation of the American Union of Swedish Singers. The collection contains legal documents (including citizenship records), Merchant Marine and Navy service paperwork, photographs of the Werner Automotive Supply Company, and documentation of awards presented to John Werner.

Karl Gösta Gilstring was a priest, teacher a collector of folk memories. For over 50 years he collected oral stories of people living in Östergötland and northern Småland. The collection consists of newspaper clippings related to Gilstring's 1971 cultural award which he received for his collection of immigrant tales, largely from Canada and the United States.
