Thomas '18 secures internship at world-renowned Swiss Institute

Pre-medicine student Mary Therese Thomas ’18 secured a summer internship at the renowned Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) in Lausanne, Switzerland, a world-class research and teaching complex operated by the Swiss government on the shores of Lake Geneva, and home to 14,000 people from around the world who study or work there.

Merhi earns scholarship, will attend Nobel ceremonies

Abdul Rahman Merhi '15 will mingle with Nobel Laureates this December. He's the latest recipient of the Swedish Council of America's prestigious Seaborg Scholarship, which comes with a trip to the Stockholm International Youth Science Seminar. Merhi is one of 25 young scientists from around the world to attend this year's seminar and Nobel ceremonies.

Elsie Ahlwén Sundeen evangelist music and other materials, 1916-1986

Elsie Rebecca Ahlwén Sundeen was an evangelist, musician, and composer. Born in Sweden, she immigrated to America around 1925. She was an active evangelist and traveled widely preaching and singing to various churches and groups. She wrote and recorded her own music, and is credited with “He the Pearly Gates Will Open.”
