Camp Kesem first meeting
Camp Kesem will hold its first meeting of the year and all students are welcome.
Camp Kesem is a nationwide community led by college students that supports children through and beyond their parent's cancer.
Camp Kesem at Augustana provides a free summer camp for these children in addition to providing a year-round support system for children and their families. Camp Kesem at Augustana also seeks to empower student leaders to recognize the benefits of civic engagement and being a part of a non-profit organization.
Best Buddies meeting
Best Buddies will be having its first meeting of the year to discuss the purpose of the organization and meet this year's buddies.
Founded in 1989, Best Buddies is the world's largest organization dedicated to providing a positive impact to those with intellectual and development disabilities (IDD).
Rock Island Mobile Public Library
Library2Go will be at Augustana until 11 a.m. Open to everyone who has a Rock Island address.
On-campus students must present student ID and class schedule to get a library card. Off-campus students must present a photo ID and proof of a Rock Island address. Library2Go will be here alternating Fridays.
Candlelight vigil to grieve lives lost to injustice
A coalition of student groups will hold a candlelight vigil Sept. 24 to collectively grieve lives lost at the hands of injustice
