COVID-19 information for students before arriving on campus

All students and families should note the following requirements for those students coming to campus for the fall 2020 semester.
Students traveling in the U.S.
Students traveling from current high-risk locations in the U.S. should self-isolate at home for 14 days prior to coming to campus.
Augustana is considering “high risk” to mean counties that are experiencing more than 25 new cases per day per 100,000 people. (Counties in red on the map fall into this category.)
After home isolation, if no symptoms or concerns arise during that 14-day period, students should travel directly to campus for their scheduled move-in days and times.
Students traveling internationally
Students coming to Augustana College from traveling internationally will be required to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival to the Quad Cities.
If you are coming directly to campus from international travel or if you will have been in the country for fewer than 14 days before coming to campus, you will need to quarantine for 14 days from the date you arrived in the U.S. before you can participate in any campus activities or classes.
Please use this form to indicate your quarantine plans. Augustana will arrange quarantine housing in a local hotel for those who need it.
Self-monitoring before arriving
Students should self-monitor symptoms of COVID-19 prior to coming to campus.
Symptoms include fever, cough, difficulty breathing, sore throat, runny nose, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea. Students should not travel to campus if they are sick.
If you are experiencing a fever plus one other symptom on this list OR three non-fever symptoms, postpone your arrival to campus until more than 10 days have passed since symptoms began, AND your fever has been gone for more than 24 hours without any medications to control it, AND all other symptoms have improved.

Students should not travel to campus with someone who is sick.
If any of your family members or helpers have COVID-19 symptoms, please do not bring them to campus.
Students should not travel to campus if they have been around someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
If you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, plan to stay home until 14 days have passed since you last had contact with the infected individual. At that point, you may come to campus if you remain symptom-free.
