Campus Update: Nine days till graduation!

🎓 Graduation is next Saturday, May 27!

Reminders:

  • Bags (including backpacks and purses), noisemakers and balloons are not allowed in the Vibrant Arena. 
  • Graduates must be at the Vibrant Arena conference center by 1:15 p.m. the afternoon of graduation.
  • No tickets are required for the commencement ceremony.
  • Tickets for the Senior Send-Off can be purchased online.

📣 Announcements

The first-floor main entrance and second-floor bridge entrance of Sorensen Hall are closed until further notice.

Augustana's Dance Marathon is seeking applicants for the executive board. Apply by next Friday.

Need help with your final papers? The Reading/Writing Center will be open Friday 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and Monday through Wednesday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.


📅 Events

Anna Reosti will present the 2023 Curtis Lecture in Public Affairs tonight at 7 p.m. in Wallenberg Hall, Denkmann.

The Augustana Dance Company will perform their spring show "Karma," this Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Brunner Theatre Center.

The Augustana Symphonic Band will perform this Saturday at 7 p.m. in Centennial Hall.

Campus Ministries and Student Well-Being will offer relaxation stations at the Wilson Center next Monday at 11 a.m.

Augustana will break ground on the tennis complex project at Lincoln Park next Wednesday at 9 a.m.

In a recent survey of the Augustana Class of 2022, 99% of respondents said they were in graduate school or employed within six months of graduation.

 ⛳ Golf outing raises scholarship funds

Augustana Accounting golf outing

The 14th annual Augustana Accounting Golf Outing took place May 6 at Byron Hills Golf Course, raising more than $12,000 for accounting academic scholarships. In total, 140 golfers (including 19 students) participated in the event.

The winning team, pictured here, was Bob Mitchum, Chuck Luebbke, Zach Sharp and Nick Sharp.
