Annie Carlson she/her

Manager of Performance Halls and Arts Events

Annie worked and performed extensively in the Ruth Lily Performance Hall for all four years of her collegiate career. Because of this, she decided to learn music technology for fun and took on some classes about audio recording. She has live-mixed, livestreamed, mixed/edited, and recorded many different types of ensembles and events.

During her senior year she was the Assistant Concert Hall Director and oversaw day-to-day operations of the hall. Throughout that experience she loved managing her peers and running events.

When she wasn't working in the hall, she was performing flute. At the University of Indianapolis (UIndy), she primarily worked with Tamara Thweatt. She played in a variety of chamber and large ensembles with four different types of flutes: piccolo, c flute, alto flute, and bass flute. She was the principal flute player for the universities Symphony Orchestra and was asked to perform a double concerto (Tarantelle by Saint-Saens) with them. Even though she enjoys playing all flutes, her favorite flute is the alto flute.

After graduating from UIndy in 2026 with a flute performance degree, Annie decided to return to her hometown to be with family.

At Augustana, Annie is primarily responsible for set-ups/tear-downs and A/V assistance in Centennial Hall, Wallenberg Hall, Olin Auditorium, and the Gävle rooms.

When she isn't running around completing set-ups and events, Annie teaches private flute lessons, freelances, and plays in local ensembles.
