Informational meetings
The office of Human Resources along with members of the Financial Aid team will be hosting three informational meetings this year. In order to offer flexibility, there will be two in person sessions and one virtual session.

We encourage you to attend either of the meetings; you are welcome to bring along interested family members.
Definitions
Tuition remission: Coverage of tuition while enrolled at Augustana. Full-time and part-time employees are eligible and must have two years of service. Amount of coverage depends on full-time or part-time employment status.
Tuition exchange: Tuition exchange scholarships for dependents offered through participating tuition exchange schools. These are not guaranteed scholarships. Full-time employees are eligible; for ELCA exchange schools, must have two years of service and for national tuition exchange schools, must have four years of service.
Application process
New applicants

Augustana Tuition Remission or ELCA Tuition Exchange
- Complete the internal tuition benefit form.
- Recommended submission deadline: Nov. 1, 2025.
National Tuition Exchange (Tuition Exchange, Inc.)
- Complete the internal tuition benefit form AND
- Complete the TE-EZ application on the Tuition Exchange, Inc. website.
- Note: Some schools make exchange decisions based on application receipt date.
Renewal applicants
(Currently using the benefit)
The tuition benefit form does not need to be completed for renewal applicants unless there will be a change of schools.
Important note
Degree seeking students who intend to use (or are using) tuition remission (i.e., attend Augustana) MUST complete the 2026-27 FAFSA, which is anticipated to be available in Dec. 2025. Students who are eligible for the Illinois MAP Grant and fail to meet the MAP Grant deadline will see a reduction of the tuition benefit.
