Speech-language pathology, audiology program for high school students

Augustana College will offer an immersive summer experience July 27-29 for high school students interested in speech-language pathology and audiology.

"A Day in the Life of Speech-Language Pathologists & Audiologists" will take place on campus at the Barbara Roseman Center for Speech, Language and Hearing, Brodahl Hall, 761 34th St.

Participants gain a firsthand look into the field through engaging, hands-on experiences. The program includes interactive workshops, guest speakers, and guided activities in which students create therapy materials and explore the foundations of speech and language treatment.

Participants also have the opportunity to observe speech-language therapy and audiology sessions in the clinic and learn from current students and professionals, providing meaningful insight into the impact and possibilities of a career in communication sciences and disorders (CSD).

Daily activities will run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

The cost is $120 and includes all activities, mentoring, program -shirt, and snacks/lunch each day.

This is a non-residential program. On-campus housing is not provided.
