'Beyond the Classroom' exhibit runs through March 20

Join the Center for Visual Culture in celebrating the opening of "Beyond the Classroom," a visual storytelling of how students here at Augustana College learn and grow beyond the classroom. While the education that takes place inside the traditional classroom is essential, it is only a piece of the puzzle that makes up the Augustana experience.

This exhibit, which runs through March 20, 2026, comprises academic departments, campus organizations, research centers, and student services. Each display demonstrates how their department incorporates experiential learning for students. This method of learning connects classroom theory to real-world application, building on critical thinking, problem-solving, and professional skills. In conjunction, it helps clarify career paths and interests while fostering personal development and global awareness.
