Apply for Leadership Academy team

The Office of Student Life invites students to apply to be on the Leadership Academy team. 

The Leadership Academy is seeking team members to help plan, facilitate, and promote programs while collaborating with fellow student leaders. 

Apply on Handshake by April 20.

Position responsibilities:
Attend weekly team meetings on Thursdays at 5:15 p.m.
Complete at least 30 minutes of office hours each week during business hours
Assist with program planning, logistics and event facilitation
Collaborate with team members across Leadership Academy initiatives
Be available to return one week prior to the start of the fall semester to support Welcome Week

Leadership Academy committees:

Participate: Plan and lead two off-campus service opportunities each month, connecting students with the local community.

Accelerate: Support a 4-week fall leadership program designed for student-athletes, focusing on growth and team leadership skills. 

Emerge: Help facilitate a 7-week fall program for first-year students introducing foundational leadership concepts. 

Campus Closet: Manage and promote a free campus clothing resource that supports student needs in an inclusive, stigma-free environment. 

Student Organization Engagement Team: Work directly with student clubs and SGA to support campus involvement (requires SGA membership). 

Elevate: Assist with a 5-week fall leadership program tailored for Greek life students, focusing on practical life skills (Greek membership required). 

Welcome Week: Plan and execute events for new student orientation; requires availability on campus throughout the summer.
