Intersex and Differences of Sex Development

Jude McLaughlin will speak on Intersex and Differences of Sex Development.

The talk lays a basic biological foundation for understanding the factors involved in gender, describes a number of intersex conditions, and discusses some of the impact that binary society/culture can have on intersex individuals.

This session was created for those with a minimal background in biology.

Those who wish to attend this virtual talk should pre-register by Oct. 26. 

McLaughlin has an M.S. in human genetics from the Virginia Commonwealth University and more than 20 years experience in writing science and medical training materials.
