Figge Music History Class: French Inspirations

Dr. Randall B Hall, associate professor at Augustana College will lead this class on a journey through the musical developments in France from 1850-1950. The class will discuss works by composers including Claude Debussy Erik Satie, and Igor Stravinsky, and their relationship to corresponding artistic movements such as Symbolism, Impressionism, and Surrealism.  The class is in conjunction with the exhibit "French Moderns: Monet to Matisse, 1850-1950" at the Figge Oct. 9- Jan. 6.
