Being Disabled Does Not Mean Being Unable!

Nicole G. Kelly, an advocate for people with disabilities, will present "Being Disabled Does Not Mean Being Unable!" Her lecture, in part, is based on her own experience of having a disability. 

Kelly, who was Miss Iowa 2013, travels the U.S. talking with student groups and meeting with children with disabilities and their parents. Her credits include serving as the master of ceremonies at the Kennedy Center's commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

A graduate of the University of Nebraska, where she majored in theater management, she recently completed a master's degree in broadcast journalism at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.
