Alumni Presentation: Working in Washington, D.C.

Two Augie alumni who live and work in the Washington, D.C., area, will share what they have learned over the years.

Amanda Thomson ‘11 graduated with a degree in political science. In 2013, she graduated George Mason University with a master’s degree in public policy with an emphasis in methodologies. Since graduating she has worked in the private sector conducting program evaluation and providing technical assistance for public and non-profit organizations.

Ken Haltenhof '09 graduated with a double major in political science and Asian studies. After teaching social studies for two years in Honduras at a small bilingual school, he moved to the D.C. metro area. He has continued to work in the education field. Currently, he is an assistant director of admissions and an MBA student at American University.
