The Augustana College Clarinet Choir is open to any student clarinetist who wishes to play, and may be registered for credit or no credit. Repertoire is chosen to fit the size and makeup of the ensemble in any given term.
The Clarinet Choir generally performs two recitals a year in conjunction with the Augustana Flute Choir, one in December and one in May. In the winter term it participates in the clarinet studio's annual Clarinets for Conservation Benefit Recital, and forms the core of the massed clarinet choir, including community members, for that event. The group performs student compositions and arrangements whenever possible.
Augustana College is one of 10 schools recognized as a 2027 Small-Program Mentorship Standout by College Music Major. Smaller music programs where "close faculty access and meaningful undergraduate responsibility shape student development" were selected from across the country.

Visiting Austria this summer introduced Augustana students to a new culture while broadening their understanding of neuroscience and philosophy. Augustana is ranked No. 15 nationally among baccalaureate institutions for participation in short-term study abroad programs.
