
Augustana celebrates faculty promotions and tenure

Augustana’s Chamber Singers is a select small ensemble that performs primarily a cappella chamber works. Primary performances include the college’s traditional programs in December, a spring performance of madrigals and vocal jazz, and campus and community events throughout the year.

Augustana's Dr. Jon Hurty has received the Harold A. Decker Award from the Illinois Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association in recognition of his exceptional leadership and contributions to choral music.
Members of Phi Mu Alpha–Zeta Beta sang love songs to surprised students, faculty and staff in classrooms and offices across campus on Valentine’s Day. The music fraternity rehearsed for months, and delivered no fewer than 100 vocal valentines.
Senior Grace Feuchtmann, a music education major from Riverside, Ill., will perform a voice recital.
We invite you to join the Augustana Symphony Orchestra for an evening of spirited music! The concert will feature works by Bizet, Sibelius, Rutter and Márquez. The Orchestra is conducted by Dr. Hisham Bravo Groover.
The High School Choral Festival is for high school mixed ensembles of up to 30 singers, with a goal to gather a group of ensembles particularly interested in preparing and performing high quality choral music in an atmosphere that is fun and musically rewarding.
