What's new for your 2026 benefits
As we look ahead to 2026, we want to make sure you’re set up for a smooth start to your benefits year. Below are a few quick reminders about what’s changing — and what you can do now to prepare.
New medical ID cards are on the way
If you’re enrolled in either of the Augustana medical plans, watch your mailbox in late Dec./early Jan. UMR will mail new medical ID cards to all covered employees. Please replace your old card once the new one arrives.
Dental and vision cards are accessed online
Dental and vision cards are not mailed to homes. These cards have not changed for 2026, so you can continue using your current card. If you are a new participant or need a new copy, you can print one from the member portal (see information below) or stop by the HR office to pick one up.
Make sure your providers are in-network
Before scheduling any care in 2026, it’s a good idea to confirm your doctor or facility is still in-network. This quick step helps avoid unexpected out-of-network costs. Here’s how:
- Medical: We use the UMR Choice Plus Network. Find providers.
- Dental: We use the PDP Plus Network. Find providers.
- Vision: We use the VSP Choice Network. Find providers.
Register for your benefits portals
Our medical, prescription, dental and vision providers all offer member portals that employees and their covered dependents can access. Registering for each program’s portal gives you faster access to claims information, digital ID cards, cost estimators, provider networks and more. Visit our Benefits page for step-by-step instructions — simply click on each benefit to find the directions for accessing its member portal.
