Oct. 28: Flu and COVID-19 vaccination clinic

As fall gets underway, now is a good time to think about seasonal vaccinations and protecting yourself, your family and our campus community.

Flu and COVID-19 activity typically increases during the fall and winter months, and vaccination can help reduce the risk of serious illness and complications. Augustana employees will have a convenient opportunity to receive their seasonal vaccinations right here on campus.

Augustana will host an onsite flu and COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Wednesday, Oct., 28 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Centennial Hall lobby. Employees are encouraged to take advantage of this convenient opportunity to receive their seasonal vaccinations without having to leave campus.

Additional information about the clinic will be shared with employees in the coming week.

Can’t make the October 28 clinic?

Employees also have access to Augustana Convenient Care Powered by MercyOne Genesis, located right on campus in Baldur House, 3410 9 1/2 Avenue, behind the Gerber Center and next to Casa Latina.

The clinic offers flu vaccinations as well as COVID-19 vaccinations and other immunizations. Vaccinations are billed through the employee’s insurance, so employees should bring their insurance information.

Current clinic hours are:

• Monday-Friday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Saturday: 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Augustana employees can schedule an appointment online in advance or contact the clinic at 309-281-2300. In addition to vaccinations, the clinic provides services including COVID-19 and strep testing, treatment for common illnesses and minor injuries, and maintenance prescription services.
