Hillel Sukkah on the Quad drop-in

Everyone (students, faculty, staff) is invited to drop in to the Lower Quad between Olin and Hanson and step into the Augustana Hillel mobile sukkah from 12:30-2:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 28, Tues, Sept. 29, and Wednesday, Sept. 30, during the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.

FAQ

What is a sukkah? A hut built each year for the holiday with a roof made of natural material that's used for eating, drinking and sometimes even sleeping!

Are all sukkahs built on a truck? No, usually they're built on the ground. Augustana doesn't have one, so Jewish Life Campus is stopping by with the next best thing.

Who is welcome? All are welcome to stop by and learn more. You do not need to be Jewish.

Do I need to stay the whole time? Nope! This is a drop-in event.

Is there a rain location? Unfortunately not, the sukkah must be outdoors. Light rain is ok - we will not be out in a thunderstorm.

Where should I park? Street parking is available on 7th Ave or the Gerber Center (take the elevators down to the Quad and walk toward Olin).
