Sam and Dave's brass extravaganza concert

Sam & Dave's Brass Extravaganza is a duo of trombone and tuba, with trombonist Sam Keehn, a music lecturer at Augustana, and David Earll, professor of tuba at Ithaca College.

Sam & Dave’s Brass Extravaganza has toured and taught extensively throughout the U.S., and is on tour through the Midwest in October.

Audience members must be masked.

Program

"La Grotte Cosquer" by Norman Bolter, an eerie work for the low instruments exploring the fantastical and hidden world of an undersea cave.

"The Grumpy Troll" by tubist Mike Forbes and "The Devil’s Waltz" by Steven Verhelst.”

"Gone Fishin'" by tubist, David Earll, and is dedicated to his fond memories of fishing trips with his grandparents in rural Iowa.

"Earllkeehn," an adaptation of Schubert's famous Erlkonig by Sam Keehn showcases the euphonium and tuba in unique ways.
