LGBTQ+ career professionals' panel

A panel of LGBTQ+ alumni and professionals will share their experiences, career paths, challenges along the way, and tips for student success.

This panel is not only for students who identify as LGBTQ+ but for all students seeking to insight into life after Augustana. The panelists represent executive recruiting, non-profit, start-ups, academia/science, public health, human resources, community centers and religious life.

All students are welcome to attend. The event is planned for one hour, with time for Q&A.

Panelists will include:

Charlie Bentley '17: biology and neuroscience, master of arts in Higher Education, University of Maryland, College Park; former associate at Isaacson, Miller, Washington, DC.

Stacie Gill '18: psychology, sociology; special programs coordinator at Legal Prep Charter Academy, Chicago.

Zachary George '08: music education; director of college and fair relations, StriveScan, Chicago.

Joseph Hyser '99: biology and philosophy, Ph.D. in molecular virology; assistant professor, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston.  

Ryan Landi '09: biology and Spanish, master of public health, master of health administration, University of Iowa; acting assistant medical center director, Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, Chicago.

Josh Morgan '10: political science, sociology, and women's and gender studies; human resources project manager, Hallcon Corp. Overland Park, Kansas.

Chase Norris: psychology, master's in counselor education Western Illinois University; executive director, Clock Inc., Rock Island.

Katy Warren: religion, psychology, master of divinity, Luther Seminary; associate pastor, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Davenport.
