Becoming American: Our Immigration Experience Past and Present

Augustana's Dr. Christopher Strunk and Dr. Adam Kaul will moderate a series of films and discussions, "Becoming American: Our Immigration Experience Past and Present."

The series is sponsored by the Jewish Federation of the Quad Cities, the Moline Public Library, the German American Heritage Center, the Butterworth Center, St. Ambrose University and Augustana College.

Today's films will be "The Century of Immigration," about the 40 million immigrants from 1820-1924 who transformed immigration into a major and defining aspect of American life.
