Fresh Films premiere screening and open house

Fresh Films will host an open house and premiere screening of public service announcements it has done for Closet2Closet and the Food Rescue Partnership. The PSAs were created by Quad City teens and will air on local TV stations this fall.

The event will feature Q&As, tech demos and the launch of Fresh Films' newest teen documentary "I AM not disABLEd. "

For more than 15 years, Fresh Films has put teens behind the camera on feature films, TV shows and documentaries. The teen-created films have showcased in Regal Theatres, on TV, on DVD, VOD and digital platforms, and internationally in countries including China, Australia, South Africa and more.

Fresh Films also collaborates with K-12 educators to bring the program into schools through schools, workshops and interactive assemblies to expose teens to the many art and STEM careers in the $695 billion dollar media and entertainment industry.

Now located on the campus of Augustana College, Fresh Films engages Quad City teenagers in film projects and also helped to launch Augustana's new Entertainment and Media minor that allows college students to learn both technical and industry relevant skills for careers in entertainment while working year-round in production, editing, marketing and business.
