Culture houses

Together with the Office of Student Life, the Office of Multicultural Student Life supervises three culture houses.

The Black Culture House is located at the corner of 9th Ave. and 34th St. It is available for small group fellowship, tutoring, studying and meetings. It is equipped with a library and historical artifacts of African and African American culture.

Casa Latina is located on the library circle drive at 3416 9 1/2th Ave. Also available for small group fellowship, tutoring, studying and meetings, it has a wall mural which depicts aspects of Hispanic culture. The mural is a collaborative effort of Augustana students and community members.

Asian Pagoda, the Asian culture house, is at 912 34th Ave., west of the library. It serves as a gathering and meeting place for faculty, students and staff to meet, share presentations or simply hang out.

All three houses are available for use by campus organizations. Each house has a working kitchen, Wi-Fi, and TV. Email Sayra at sayrajimenez@augustana.edu to reserve a house for your group.
