Mackenzie Butcher, a pole vaulter from Colorado Springs, Colo., qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championship in her first season after a tie with her CCIW conference competition. She cleared 11 feet, 7¾ inches to tie for 12th at the indoor nationals. Her record height is 12-2 ½ — the third-highest pole vault in Augustana history.

Student Life and Leadership
Known on campus as OSL, the Office of Student Life and Leadership is a big part of what makes Augustana’s campus a great place to hang out. OSL events complement learning and draw students into campus life. From leadership and personal development programs, to BINGO beyond your wildest dreams (seriously!), OSL is one reason Augustana students love it here.
OSL is home to Augustana’s Greek Life, Student Life Programming Board, Multicultural Programming Board, Delta Lecture Series, and Emerge Leadership Program. OSL also provides the home base for Augustana’s nearly 200 student organizations.
Multicultural Student Life
The Office of Multicultural Student Life (OMSL) provides a base for all Augustana students to discuss diversity issues on campus and in the world, and to promote a campus culture that values people of all cultural, ethnic and racial backgrounds.
OMSL sponsors and keeps the Augustana community informed of multicultural events and programs on and off campus; acts as a liaison among students, faculty, staff and administration; and hosts diversity training workshops for college employees and sports teams.
International Student Life
More and more students from other countries are choosing Augustana for their college education. Located in the Quad Cities along the Mississippi River in the American Midwest, Augustana College provides a great option for a top education in the United States. And international students bring valuable perspectives to the Augustana community.
Augustana College is a welcoming home-away-from-home for all Augustana students. For international students, the Office of International Student Life provides a home base within this home-away-from-home.
From help with visa and travel issues before you arrive, to building your sense of belonging on campus, staff and students in International Student Life can ease your transition to life as a student at an American college.
Augustana's 14 Greek organizations all were founded at Augustana, some more than 100 years ago, and are autonomous. They are unique in name and charter, having no affiliation with any national Greek organization.
Greek students make up about 40 percent of the student population at Augustana.
