You Matter Rally

September is National Suicide Prevention Month, and today's You Matter Rally is intended to raise awareness on this stigmatized, and often taboo, topic.

Here are some mental health resources available at Augustana College.

Suicide Prevention Lifeline, 1-800-273-TALK (8255). Call any time you or a friend is struggling. And don’t ever hesitate to call Augustana Public Safety, 309-794-7711.

TimelyCare offers free urgent and scheduled mental health services. You have access to urgent mental health care through TalkNow, which provides 24/7 access to mental health professionals.

TAO includes interactive sessions, mindfulness exercises and practice tools aimed at helping you achieve your goals and improve well-being. To sign up, use your @augustana.edu email in the sign-up section.

The Shrink Space connects you with therapists in this community. The Shrink Space allows you to see what each therapist specializes in, their insurance options, their availability, etc. You can also email them directly to set up an appointment.

Augustana Student Counseling Services is open from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on days when classes are in session. Schedule an appointment in advance by emailing Cheri Mizaur or calling 309-794-7357. Male and female counselors are on staff, and sessions are offered in person and virtually.
