The Salon is a weekly gathering of students, faculty, staff, and administrators. It is a time and place for discussion of interdisciplinary ideas and shared experiences; everyone is welcome.
Each week, a guest from the Augustana Community is invited to lead discussion based on a theme. The theme for this term is the breakdown or perceived breakdown of civility in American public discourse.
Thao Chu and Christian Elliott, two peer tutors in the Reading/Writing Center, will draw upon their experiences as tutors and students to lead a conversation about unvoiced, overlooked, and underestimated voices on campus.
