Making a tuition deposit

Update: $175 tuition deposit through May 15

For a short time — only until May 15, 2024 — we are making it easier for you to commit to Augustana College and begin your enrollment steps for the fall of 2024. From now until May 15 at 11:59 p.m. CDT, you can pay just $175 of your tuition deposit, saving the rest for your late-summer bill.

We made this decision so you can start your enrollment process. As you know, the housing application opened on May 1 and is only available to students who have submitted their tuition deposit. You’ll also need to make your $175 tuition deposit to begin a number of other important enrollment steps.

If you see yourself at Augustana, it’s time to take the next step and submit your tuition deposit. We hope this window of opportunity is the inspiration you need.

Note: If you are not ready to commit by May 15, we will be accepting $350 tuition deposits through June 1. (See details below.)

Tuition deposit and enrollment commitment date

In response to the Department of Education's late rollout of the FAFSA, Augustana College will extend its commitment date to June 1, 2024.

The June 1 tuition deposit deadline applies for most students planning to enroll for the fall of 2024.* If you have not yet received your official offer of financial aid from Augustana by June 1, the timeline to submit your tuition deposit will be extended to within two weeks of your financial aid award being posted to your student portal.

You are encouraged to submit your tuition deposit as soon as possible to begin the enrollment process and all that comes with it: orientation and registration, placement assessments, housing selection, and all of the other ways we will set you up to thrive as a student at Augustana College.

*Augustana College will maintain a May 1 deadline for students whose understanding of final costs does not depend on the FAFSA, including degree- and non-degree-seeking international students, and students not filing the FAFSA or Illinois Alternative Application.

How to submit your tuition deposit

If you’re ready to choose Augustana, there are two ways to submit your $350 non-refundable tuition deposit:

  1. Online by credit card. Just log onto your applicant status page.

  2. By mail. Make the check or money order out to Augustana College and note your student’s name and birth date. Checks can be sent to: Augustana College Admissions, 639 38th St., Rock Island, Ill., 61201.

(International students also can make a payment using Flywire. See Student Accounts for more information about Flywire payments.)

Note: Deposits are due Dec. 15 for Early Decision applicants.

For graduate students in the master of speech-language pathology program, enrollment deposits are due April 15.
