Exposure exhibition features students photography
February 25, 2014
Celebrate the artistic and musical talents of Augustana students at the opening of the seventh annual Exposure exhibition from 5-8 p.m. Friday, March 21, in the Center for Student Life at Augustana College. The free event will feature distinctive photography from Augustana students, prospective students and Quad-Cities high school students.
Augustana Photo Bureau students will display a series of photographs that highlight their student experience fused with their artistic abilities on the Rock Island campus, experiences in the Quad Cities and personal interests. Augustana music students will perform at the event.
In addition, area high school photographers along with prospective students submitted their best original photos to compete for scholarship money and prizes. Members of the Augustana Photo Bureau judged the entries, and the winners’ photos will be displayed as part of the exhibition.
Augustana Photo Bureau photographers featured in the show include Drew Barnes ’14, Daisy Hoang ’14, Kristin Walden ’16, Lauren Becker ’16, Nadia Pansky ’17 and Emma Stough ’17.
The Augustana Photo Bureau was established in 2005 to support the publications, events, news and online needs of the Office of Communication and Marketing. The bureau has grown to support other departments and special events on campus. Under the direction of the Office of Communication and Marketing, the students have the opportunity to learn and apply photographic skills in a variety of settings.
