Koek delivers Geifman Lecture in Holocaust Studies
April 12, 2013
Joseph Koek shares the story of his time spent in the Dutch Underground, hiding from the Nazis during World War II. He remembers being moved from apartment to apartment, hiding from any windows for fear of being seen, not being able to wear shoes or use the bathroom for fear of making too much noise, and many other restrictions not suited for an 11-year-old. Koek now lives in Chicago with his wife.
