MOLINE, Ill. - A dramatic victory at number four singles by junior Andy Wall (Notre Dame Academy, DePere, Wis.) gave Augustana a scintillating 5-4 win over Luther on Saturday afternoon at the Quad City Tennis Club in Moline, Illinois. With the win the Vikings moved to 4-0 on the season as they also picked up an 8-1 win against St. Norbert earlier in the day.
The win against Luther came against a Norse team that was ranked 12th in the Central Region and coached by former Augustana head man Adam Strand.

Andy Wall (Notre Dame Academy, DePere, Wis.) outlasted Torstein Jystad 6-3; 6-7; 11-9 in an epic battle at number four singles and that victory proved to be the difference as Augustana defeated Luther, ranked 12th in the Central Region, by a score of 5-4. The match was knotted at 4-4 and Wall and Jystad were the only two players left on the court and when the final point fell in Wall's favor, the Vikings upped their record to 4-0 on the young campaign.
