Vikings fall at Carthage

Sophomore Emily Leazer had 10 kills, 13 digs, two blocks and a service ace in the Vikings loss at Carthage on Friday night.

KENOSHA, Wis. - Augustana dropped a College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin volleyball match to Carthage on Friday, October 19 in Kenosha, Wisconsin by a score of 3-0. The Lady Reds, ranked 30th in the latest NCAA Division III national poll, won by margins of 25-9; 25-21 and 25-15.

Sophomore Emily Leazer (St. Viator HS, Mt. Prospect, Ill.) led the way for head coach Jamie Walters' Vikings. Leazer had 10 kills, 13 digs, two blocks and a service ace. Sophomore Dory Dudley (Tremont HS, Tremont, Ill.) had four kills and senior Sarah Williams (Rockford Lutheran HS, Loves Park, Ill.) picked up three and had two blocks.

Freshman Katie Canning (Downers Grove North HS, Westmont, Ill.) had 11 setting assists with eight digs and freshman Jordan Hampel (Hilliard-Davidson HS, Hilliard, Ohio) came up with eight assists. Freshman Kylie Siebert (Kaneland HS, Sugar Grove, Ill.) had 11 digs.
