2012 Season - Augustana 13th in USTFCCCA dual rankings

Augustana sophomore Kelsey Stockert and her Viking teammates are ranked 13th in the nation in the latest USTFCCCA outdoor dual meet rankings.

ROCK ISLAND, Illinois - The second edition of the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association outdoor dual meet rankings have been released and coach Fred Whiteside's Vikings come in at number 13 in the nation. Augustana finished fifth in  a strong nine-team field at last weekend's Wartburg Select meet in Waverly, Iowa.

The Vikings, with 151.00 points, are the third-highest ranked Midwest Region team, with College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin mate North Central (174.70) holding down the top spot in the national rankings. Nebraska Wesleyan, with 171.39 points, is second, followed by Ithaca (169.06) and Cal Lutheran (167.47). Emory rounds out the top five with 163.31 points.

Among Midwest Region teams, Wisconsin-Oshkosh is 12th with 152.31 points, Wisconsin-Stevens Point is 14th with 149.58 and Washington University 15th with 148.26.

The Vikings are next in action at Luther College's Norseman Relays in Decorah, Iowa on Saturday, April 14.
